Emergency Preparedness

Updated 11/01/10

The City of Diamond Bar strives to keep citizens informed and prepared for any emergency. Being prepared can save lives, protect property and minimize losses to businesses. Planning for and responding to disasters and emergencies requires many different actions, such as stockpiling disaster supplies, creating an family or business emergency plan, practicing evacuations, and preparing for power outages and isolation.

Emergency News and Updates - In the event of an emergency, residents are encouraged to listen to local television and radio broadcasts for important news updates and disaster declarations. Also visit the City's website for local information and sign up for EMERGENCY ALERTS to be notified by phone, email, or text message for additional updates.

L.A. County Specific Needs Awareness Planning (S.N.A.P) Voluntary Registry - Managed by the Los Angeles County Office of Emergency Management, this is an Internet-based system that allows Los Angeles County residents to provide information to public safety officials about their access or functional needs (e.g. physical/developmental disabilities, reliance on medications, immune system deficiencies, deafness or hearing loss, blindness or severe vision loss, reliance on technology that use electricity, and severe allergies). Download Brochure. Register for S.N.A.P.
